This Week:
  1. YPC Concert is on Oct. 27. Please have all permission slips in by Tuesday or you will not be able to attend with us.
  2. Chapter 4, Chemistry Test is Tuesday.
  3. Grade 7s have a Decimal Math Quiz Tuesday.
  4. Spelling will be given out this week.
  5. Government Paragraph will be due.
  6. Our first short story and questions. Students will also be learning their first element of a story.
Homework:
  1. Study for Ch.4 Chem test.
  2. Rough Draft of Government Paragraph.
  3. Math 3.6/3.7
  4. Decimal Quiz Preparation
  5. Inference Magazine  worksheet.
  6. Home reading
  7. Current Events

In-terms came home today, please sign the bottom and have your child return it to school on Thursday. Students gave their first mini-presentation today. They worked in pairs to learn about various wars Canada participated in and created a slide presentation that explained their findings. Homework: Home Reading Spelling Current Events Work Collected Recently Bullying paragraph Spelling/Vocabulary activities Biderbicks Don't Cry Greek Map Remembrance Day Slide Presentation Math Unit Test Students who are missing work or are struggling to be successful will be asked to attend the Homework room at lunch until they are successful. I am also available during recess and lunch throughout the week.

Homework: 1. Home Reading: 20 -30 minutes per night for the rest of the week. Please have your parents initial the agenda. 2. Math - Percent test is January 12th. Other: 1. We ski next Wednesday and the following Tuesday and we are still looking for drivers.
