April 14

Congratulations to our fundraisers in our Swimathon! All students participated and represented our School very well! Some students managed to raise their entire trip costs!

Homework:

1. Poetry Project is due Monday.

2.  Statistics quiz is Friday. Students must demonstrate understanding of means, medians, modes, ranges, and outliers.

3. Students are working on a data collection project in small groups. This will be due April 22. Students are expected to work through google docs so they can share their work with the other members of the group.

4. 14 questions should be generated for chapters 3 and 4 from our novel study Face on a Milk Carton.

 5. Science drawing for an atom are now due.

6. Social Studies questions from the United Nations are now due.

7. YPC Field Trip is tomorrow.


Up-Coming:

1. April 18th is a pro-d day and there is no school.
2. April 20th is Parloff at Dallas.
3. April 27 McGowan Parloff
4. April 28 Westsyde Drama Production: The Diary of Anne Frank field trip.
5. April 29th is Young Artists at TRU
6. May 11th is the school Track Meet.
7. May 30 - June 2 is our Sunnybrae field trip

In-terms came home today, please sign the bottom and have your child return it to school on Thursday. Students gave their first mini-presentation today. They worked in pairs to learn about various wars Canada participated in and created a slide presentation that explained their findings. Homework: Home Reading Spelling Current Events Work Collected Recently Bullying paragraph Spelling/Vocabulary activities Biderbicks Don't Cry Greek Map Remembrance Day Slide Presentation Math Unit Test Students who are missing work or are struggling to be successful will be asked to attend the Homework room at lunch until they are successful. I am also available during recess and lunch throughout the week.

Homework: 1. Home Reading: 20 -30 minutes per night for the rest of the week. Please have your parents initial the agenda. 2. Math - Percent test is January 12th. Other: 1. We ski next Wednesday and the following Tuesday and we are still looking for drivers.
